What to expect at the first session

  • The first session is for you and me to get to know each other and to sense if we will be a good ‘fit’.

  • The therapeutic relationship is key in the success of therapy, therefore it is important for you to feel comfortable in my company so you can feel free to discuss whatever is happening.

  • I will offer you a tea/coffee and we will discuss what has brought you to therapy.

  • Trust is an essential component in a successful relationship and confidentiality will be discussed before we begin.

  • You are the expert in your own life, I am here to facilitate, support and accompany you on your healing journey.

Face to face and online counselling

My approach to therapy is person-centred; I focus on providing a safe, empathetic, non-judgemental space where clients can openly reflect and discuss what is causing difficulty in their lives.

I provide counselling to adults (18+) in a serene, countryside setting just off the N25 (5 minutes from Midleton, 20 minutes from Cork city).

I also provide online counselling or a choice of both to accomodate your needs.

I have a special personal and professional interest in bereavement, grief and loss and have undertaken additional training in this area, and more specifically pregnancy and infant loss.

I have experience working with a wide range of issues including post natal depression, infertility, menopause, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, trauma, low self – esteem, social anxiety, attachment issues etc.

Grief and Bereavement support groups

I facilitate grief and bereavement support groups for those who are grieving the loss of loved ones. Whilst grief is a unique and individual experience for everybody, these group sessions give you the opportunity to meet and connect with people who are going through similar experiences and emotions.
It is a safe and confidential space where you can share your story, your loss, and begin your healing journey.

The courses are ran twice a year; September – October and March – April.
